almond butter and chocolate chip biscuits
Saturday 29th AugustThese chocolate chip biscuits are for those moments when
you’re craving something sweet but don’t want it to be
completely unhealthy. By making a few substitutions you
can always create healthier versions of your favourite treats.
Eating well doesn’t mean missing out. Food is to be enjoyed.
ChristyINGREDIENTS
- 1 3/4 cups wholemeal flour
- 1/2 tsp bi-carb soda
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 Tbs tahni
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup rice malt syrup
- 1 Tbs almond milk
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
METHOD
- Line a tray with baking paper.
- Pre heat oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
- Mix dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- Melt coconut oil.
- Add the rest of the wet ingredients to the coconut oil and mix
until it forms a smooth consistency. - Mix wet and dry ingredients together.
- Roll mixture into balls and place on baking tray.
- Using the back of a fork gently flatten the balls into a biscuit shape.
- Bake for 15mins at 160 degrees Celsius.
- Allow to cool on baking tray for 10-15mins before placing on a
cool rack.
